Homeschooling

What does homeschooling look like for us? Our schedule has been full! Mornings consist of bible study, math, ELA (grammar, spelling, reading, writing and speech), science and specials (web design, typing, etc.) for the morning block, and afternoons are reserved for educational/experiential activities from field trips, music lessons, sports, art activities, volunteering, museum tours, sporting events, park tours, bike rides, tennis, hikes, to name a few. Each day is different and presents its own set of learning, fun, growth, and of course challenges (learning opportunities!). The kids are doing great, and I am pleased with the curriculum we’ve chosen (thanks to advice and recommendations from so many wonderful and brilliant homeschool parents). It definitely makes for a full day (no nail appointments for this gal!), and it doesn’t always go down smooth, but the time spent invested in our family is irreplaceable. These kids are growing quickly!! Here are pictures from the first 6 weeks of school…
